How Pragya Pallavi Commemorated India's Legalization of LGBTQ Sex with New Album Queerism | LGBT Movies, Theatre, FIlm & Music | Scoop.it

On September 6, 2018, singer Pragya Pallavi sat glued to her laptop with a group of friends. The Supreme Court of India was hearing a case that would determine the fate of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, an outdated law criminalizing homosexual sex with jail time and a fine. She had a feeling that the hearing would go well, but was still “surprised and relieved” when the court decided to overturn the law.

Albany Posey's curator insight, August 18, 2018 7:53 PM
I wanted to scoop this story because not many people want to come face to face with the LGBT situation in anything when it comes to the entertainment industry.

I have learned this for sure, and that is that everybody was really created equal. Those who are prejudice or discriminate against others don't believe we were created equal.

Me personally, I am glad to see Joey Suarez kicking down walls to bridge the gap between normal and what most consider abnormal. It's great to see he had the guts/nerves to break down barriers and increase acceptance. In my opinion, I don't think anyone is better than anyone else. I use to have a hard time accepting gay people, and it wasn't that long ago that I had that attitude towards them, But God has helped me to realize me and no one else has the right to suppress anyone's talent or gift and take it away from them just because they don't live the life we think they should live. As long as the music sounds good and has a positive message, I will support gay and straight alike when it comes to music.
ilovegay.net has been proven to be a reliable source for LGBT information in the entertainment industry. I was able to click on the link and it gave me this story, so I know it is reliable. It's not just reliable for this story, but it has given the world and especially the gay community a lot of stories concerning the LGBT community.

This scoop is from https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/lovelytheband-fights-for-lgbtq-rights-in-maybe-im-afraid-video-824403/
The Rolling Stone is a monthly magazine. It was founded in San Francisco in 1967, and consider to be one of the most reliable sources of music news.
This video is dealing with an important subject that many people, (men and women) are struggling with. I think that "Lovelytheband" is doing the right thing by releasing a video telling a story about a man that all his life has been struggling with his sexuality. It will help a lot of young people and maybe even kids to talk about their issues and leave a truthful life.
Thank you, Lovelytheband.

This source seems very legit, it has a writer and different official links on the page. It doesn’t chooses sides and seems to go perfectly with the story line . The source has links to his official site , I’m not exactly sure if that’s showing that it has some type of relation with Brody Ray. I wouldn’t say this website is a major information resource because it’s call I Love Gay so I would think it’s made for Gay people and would be slightly bias in different circumstances.
