The L.A. singer's quietly radical new album, "Interior Person," featuring "I Like Girls," was born from surviving both a serious illness and a sexual assault.

The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles has been part of the fabric of the city for 40 years, but recent allegations of sexual misconduct and serious financial problems have forced the group into painful self-reflection. An attempt to start over comes this weekend.

As part of its spectacular 38th Season, the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA), one of the nation's largest and most esteemed LGBTQ arts organizations in the country since 1979, will join together in song with more than 25 communities of faith, during a powerful, first-of-its-kind choral concert, taking place on July 8 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles.

A Ohio native, Donovan Holden, began early on to write his own songs, in notebooks, vastly influence bu the radio tunes of the time: country, soul, rock n’ roll, pop, blues, jazz, gospel, and sacred music, which all seemingly co-existed together before the days of heavily formatted radio.

Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced a special, one-night-only concert event the multiple award-winning vocalist Sweet Baby J'ai with the Women in Jazz All-Stars presenting an exciting tribute to women in music. The curtain will rise on Saturday, February 10, at 8pm in the LGBT Center's Renberg Theatre.
