Not only movie theaters will take a hit from this pandemic. But music theatre and broadway are losing money every single day because they have to keep there doors shut. The live theatre and its musical performances require an audience of tens to hundreds per show. Because of COVID 19 broadway and other music theatre related business will most likely shut down if this prolongs any further.

And so the Orlando playwright-director wrote a 55-minute show about his tight-knit group of friends, about gay lives, about the Pulse nightclub shooting of 2016, about Orlando itself. “From Here,” as the musical was named, became a buzzed-about hit at the 2019 Orlando Fringe Festival, with theatergoers praising its heart.
